
ERIKA MONTOYA CORREA makes sculptures, paintings, drawings and installations using traditional mediums such as oil painting, graphite, plaster and clay but also she have had an insisting and prolific approach to the making of sculptural works mixing a wide variety of repurposed materials mostly textiles.

Born in Colombia. Lives and works in South Florida, USA.

She studied Fine Arts at Instituto de Bellas Artes in Medellín, Colombia, and has a Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. In 2022 received a MFA at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.

​Her solo and collective works has been exhibited in a variety of independent art spaces, galleries, museums and other institutions in Bogotá.
With her partner, the visual artist and musician Carlos Bonil, founded the artist-run project Madrastra.
